That's a misprint. Should be 900W peak and 450W instant, not amps.
I don't think it's a misprint, but it has nothing at all to do with the inverter. It's for the jump start feature, and the currents don't sound out of line to me. A 900W peak jump starter would be of limited use; my Onan generator starter needs more power than that to crank its little one-cylinder generator motor.
