Capital Grill

Looking at campers with outdoor kitchens. Notice that a lot of them come with these Capital Grills. Can these be used as a camp stove? Like can you sit a skillet on it to fry an egg or boil a pot of water on it? Wouldn't use it as a grill because when I'm camping I use a charcoal grill.
  • Good question, not familiar with those, but most little bbq grills make poor cook tops. In general. From distance to flame, to flame spread, to being open air and even a light breeze dissipating too much of the heat.
One bbq that works great as a cook top is the Coleman Road-trip. Had one used it twice, gave it to a buddy. The reason it works good is it’s basically designed like a cooktop/stove. The downside is it sucks as a bbq grill, is heavy and is just a mess to clean up. Imagine bbqing on a stovetop…. Still use it when camping w them. But it’s his mess now, not mine! Lol

Just some consideration for analyzing what you’re looking at.
