Without sounding like a smartarse, I just add gas. I change the oil every spring (sometimes) and that's literally it. I can't comment on the 1200 watt air con but mine will kick up when the microwave is used or DW uses her 1200watt hair dryer in Econ mode.

Thats pretty much all you need to do with a Yami. Change oil every now and then. It just looks after itself.
