Carefree Colorado Awning Question

Well, In June I made an appointment for July 2 to replace the fabric on the electric awning. It's now August 17th. The first awning CC sent the dealer was not what was ordered, and it was too short. Much later they sent the right model box, but another short one. Oddly, the dealer installed it, apologized and told me to enjoy it on our camping trip. Well, yesterday I began to run it out but it only unrolled, and the arms remained in place against the camper. They are supposed to have the correct replacement in the shop now but what have they done to cause this problem? I'd like to have some information when I take it in this week and demonstrate for them. Thanks.

They probably didn’t pin the fabric to the awning rails. If the fabric shifts in the rail the arms will not lineup properly when closed and could get stuck. If the arms are stuck they will stay in place and the fabric will just unroll from the roller.

    That fits what happened, thanks.

As for the dealer, they've been around many years and have a pretty good reputation. I've not had any problems with them, so tend to believe it's CC.
