I have a Smoo thTalker and it worked great. Now with my Iphone and no external antenna, no so much.The induction adapter that I bought doesnt help and I have a taller antenna but I keep forgetting to take it with me when we go to friends cotttage.

The information is "preachy" and available on the Wilson website. I will add the new generation FCC compliant boosters are now on the market. I own one. Yes, they will work with USB style cell adapters. Proximity between the two is key (touching).

A totally new class of cell phone boosters have just been approved for Wilson . They should be on the market in November 2014.

Now the FCC has agreed that in order to use a cell booster on a net work, you must submit application to the individual wireless carriers and receive approval.

This has been discussed on the Escapees forum and Wilson contributed a lot of input.

I got 2 Wilson ATT boosters from these folks. One for the bedroom and one for the living room.

They do work, just used them in no land Nevada with one bar, boosted to 3 bars and used Hotspot for 2 laptops and a tablet. They sure do work.

I don't even attach the antenna outside anymore for short stops. Attach the antenna to the inside window of the drivers door with the inc included suction mount.

Used them for 3 months in SC, when receiving only sparse signal 0-1 bar. Again, worked for voice and data. Have to use the speaker phone for calls while the phone is in the cradle.

I have been using a Wilson 801201 Dual Band amplifier for a number of years now. We live on an acreage that is not line of site to the nearest cell tower and I use it for internet access. It pumps out about 3 watts I believe and covers the 800 MHz and 1900 MHz bands.

Were it not for this amp I would not be doing what I am doing right now but it was a spendy blue box to purchase.
