Champion 3100 inverter / generator

I think that will be my next purchase also. And If it is not quite when running the air then you just crank up the radio louder. :)

Be sure to turn the economy switch off when running the AC. Failing to to so can damage your generator. (happened to my neihbor)It probably isn't very good for your AC unit either. The owners manual for my Yamahas highly recommend shutting off the econo switch when operating high load devices I am sure it is the same for the Champion.

Never owned a Champion but from what I've read here they seem to be a very good value. Seems like everybody loves 'em.

Well I got a chance to use it today and all I can say is, WOW!! It is truly impressive. I started it up and the first thing I noticed is how quiet it is. You can talk normal around it and with the "idle down" switch turned on it's even quieter still. It will run almost everything in my camper without kicking the idle up, microwave and AC I would not try with the switch on. With the switch off and running full speed it kicks off the AC without delay! and with the unit running right outside by the slideout you can not hear it running with the AC on and the fan blowing. I feel like I spent my money wisely as this will be a welcome addition to our camping family!!

Good job Our Place. Seems like Champion puts out a good product.
