For those in Canada. Starting tomorrow, Canadian Tire has the Champion 3400 watt generator on sale for $999.99 - which is a decent price for Canada.The 2000 watt model (which I have and really like) is also on sale for $599.00.

I got the 3500/4000 digital inverter Champion at SAMS Club for $700. Works great, is lighter and puts out sinewave power. Runs 12 Hr+ on a tank

Unfortunately this is not the electric start model. :(

I have the remote start version of that gen and love it. Just for the record, I paid more than that in U$ a couple years ago. It was the best I could find at the time, and I'm not at all disappointed.
