My champ 200i did the same tap dance. I thought I was doing all the right things, like adding snake oil and turning it off by shutting the fuel off.
It was out of warranty and i thought, what to do now, the carb cannot be messed up.
Took the carb off, could not find anything what so ever that did not belong there, shot carb cleaner thru the passages followed by compressed air. Put it back together and the darn thing runs like new again. :h
