Champion is a Champ

I recently sold my Honda 2000i and purchased a Champion 3500/4000 watt generator. I have been using the latter for the last few days on a trip from South Texas to Florida, mostly parking at Walmart's. The change has been great. Since the Champion gives me the equivalent of 30 amp park service, I can enjoy all the benefits of owning a travel trailer. No more worrying about how much the converter is using when I want to run the microwave or electric heater. The Champion starts easily and I simply wheel it onto the lowered tailgate and fire it up.

I only run it in the evenings and the parking lots are already so noisy that the Champion is not noticed by others. I do NOT plan to run it in quiet campgrounds.

I'm a great believer in quieting any generator used in a campground as much as possible but as long as you can avoid the temptation to use your new open frame Champ in that situation it sure seems to be the right tool for the job you have at hand. Congrats! :B
