Changing out the Duo-Therm thermostat?
We have a Duo-Therm Comfort Center that controls the dual zones with 2 A/Cs with heat pump/strip and the furnace but I would really like one that has a timer so that I can set it to adjust temperature...

The problem is the 12 button control module in the AC/HP unit is NOT compatible with a 5 or 4 button HP unit. You CANNOT upgrade a 5 button HP to a 12 button by installing the new 12 button control board at the HP unit. The older HP have different wiring than the current HP 12 button. You can upgrade a 5 button AC only to the 12 button, but not a HP without possibly doing wiring modifications which Dometic will not advise or reccomend to do. Doug
