^^^ Do you have a link for the purchase of such a jack? I think a 12T Shorty would be ideal for a Class C motorhome like ours, and at least the Class A gassers, as well as the trailers.
Dry Run at Home is an excellent idea. When we got our first C, I went through all eight nuts on all four positions to make sure they weren't torqued so tight I couldn't handle them on the side of the road. Also cleaned up all the threads so the nuts went off and back on fast once loosened.
