Dry Run at Home is an excellent idea. When we got our first C, I went through all eight nuts on all four positions to make sure they weren't torqued so tight I couldn't handle them on the side of the road. Also cleaned up all the threads so the nuts went off and back on fast once loosened.
This jack was bought many years before the net and I've not seen anything like it on the market.
There are lots of 12 ton shorty bottle jacks out here.
My neighbor bought one and made a similar adapter and added a 1" X 12" X 12" aluminum base bolted on with soc head flush head screws.
