Dismount spare if it is mounted on a carrier, break lug nuts loose on flat tire, position 3 ton or better hydraulic jack under spring shackle and elevate flat tire, remove lugs and mount spare tire onto hub, tighten lug nuts as much as possible, lower spare tire to surface, remove jack, tighten lug nuts to appropriate torque.
If you have steel rims, the wheel can be very effectively tightened with a tire iron. If you have aluminum rims, it's best to use a torque wrench.
Just a reminder, no matter how tempted you might be, DON'T put the jack under the axle - they are very easy to bend.
