charge line between house batteries and chassis battery

When I am plugged into shore power my house batteries charge but not my chassis battery. Can I run a charge line from the house batteries to the
chassis battery with a diode in line to prevent discharge of chassis battery when using house batteries?

Yes, you can, but instead of a diode that will cause voltage drop, I put an off/on switch in line

I used the Trick-L-Start on my rig. had it plugged in all winter &amp; kept the chassis bats. up w/o issue.
