Chargers In Series
I need a 36v 3-4 amp batt charger. I have 3 new 1.5 amp 2 stage chargers sitting doing nothing. Any reason why these cannot be connected in series to make 1 36v charger ?

That's the way I'm doing it now, 3 separate chargers on the 3 12v batts that make the 36 volts, but its a pain to get at all the batteries.
I just got a new 36v charger, but it turned out to be 1.5 amp, instead of the 3.1 amps as advertised. And for $11.89, I'll make it work I guess, being as I have more time than money :)
1.5 amps at 36v is "worth" more than 1.5 amps at 12v so you don't lose anything and will gain the convenience.
Smk is suggesting put the three-part "36" in parallel with the real 36 and get 3 amps at 36 for fast charging that scooter.
Or just make it a solar scooter :)
