Chargers In Series
I need a 36v 3-4 amp batt charger. I have 3 new 1.5 amp 2 stage chargers sitting doing nothing. Any reason why these cannot be connected in series to make 1 36v charger ?

This post is starting to be worth more than I at first thought.
I at first thought I would be charging a 54 AH bank (18x3) w/ a 1.5 amp charger, which could take 18 hrs if depleted 50%.(54ah div x 2 div x 1.5 = 18hrs)
But now I realize that connected in series, it is only an 18 AH bank, being charged by a 1.5 amp 36v charger. So, 18ah div x 2 div x 1.5 = only 6 hrs.
I'm thinking something is not right.
In reality, how long is it really going to take to charge these 3 18ah batts in series, using a 1.5a 36v charger, and batts discharged 50%.
