Sorry OP--just a little aside here in your thread.... :(

Roy, the batteries at 440AH will accept over 160 amps at 50% no sweat. They will not demand anything, only accept what they are given.
Your charger as installed, seems to be limited to 53 amps at 14.4 volts. Adding more batteries will not somehow over- work and fry the charger!
