The regular version PowerMax/Boondocker converters are not designed for fast charging off generator power to keep gen time to a minimum. They are designed to be converters for when mostly on shore power. Except they do go into bulk every time, unlike many WFCOs as wired in.
The PowerMax/Boondocker adjustable voltage versions are for fast charging off generator and you can match any type of battery's voltage specs too.
Your best bet is to leave the WFCO in place for when on shore power, which works fine for that. Then get a portable charger (which can be a deck mount converter with clamp wires on it) to do your fast charging on gen power. I do that with a PowerMax Adjustable. There are other choices of course.
The WFCO's 13.6 is fine for floating most AGMs. You need maybe 14.8ish to recharge those same AGMs. So you can do that with your adjustable and then leave them on the WFCO and that will meet those AGM specs.
EDIT-- Note some AGMs have other lower voltage specs, so be careful what you buy wrt what charger you have.
