Of the converters available, I'd choose the PD9270, the 14.4v standard model for those AGMS which say no more than that, and the pd9270-14.8v model for flooded batteries or other AGMS.
I'd put it no more than 3 feet away from batteries, with no less than 4awg cables.
I like the fact that one can choose voltages sought by PD converters by the wizard/ pendant.
Nothing is more frustrating that trying to charge in a given timespan with a charging source which keeps reverting to sub 13.8v.
Gimme 14.4v or more at the press of a button or a twist of a dial, or give me a sledgehammer.
