Just got off the phone with PowerMax. They do have newer units as advertised...switchable to either single stage adjustable to 16.5v or automatic 3 stage. There are 2 similar units like that but one is a hundred bucks cheaper at about $150 for the 75amp unit. The spendy unit has a knob to control the voltage, digital voltage readout and long jumper cables. The less expensive unit has a hole in the side for a screwdriver to adjust the voltage and no digital readout or cables. I ordered the less expensive version. The 75amp unit draws around 13amps not 7amps.
