Complete change of plan. I decided I was going to make my purchase at bestconverters.com and then decided to send Randy an email and explain what I have (WFCO 8955PEC, about 30 ft of 6 AWG cable) and that I needed to be able to do a fast charge with only 2 hours of generator time. I asked about temperature control and pretty much everything that has been discussed here. Differing opinions on which charger, 2 batteries and 4 batteries etc. I just wanted to make sure I was making a good decision. He told me to buy the PD4655 direct replacement and that he had discussed this very thing maybe a thousand times and it's what he would do if it was his decision to make. So in the end, I bought the PD4655 and it will be here on 2/3/17. I know this isn't the choice the posters in this thread would make but, I look at it this way...What's the worst thing that happens? I find out it isn't adequate and I have to make another change next year? At the very least, I will have a converter/charger that I can force into bulk mode, unlike the WFCO. Because of the long run of cable and only 55 amps out of the charger, I know there will be some loss at the batteries but hopefully it will be good enough. I did learn that the lugs on the PD4655 will only accept cable as large as 4 AWG so I don't know if there would be any worthwhile increase at the batteries by changing out my 6 AWG cables to 4 AWG. I saw a video of a guy that did this but said he ran new 3 AWG cable. That wouldn't even fit unless he used a Polaris connector or something similar and didn't mention it.
