As others have said I believe this is a little more complicated and that all AGMs are not created equal. A few weeks ago we replaced our Xantrex Freedom 458 Inverter/Charger with a Magnum PSW Inverter/Charger. Both are 2000W units. We also replaced our four flooded cell 6V batteries with Lifeline GPL-4CT AGM batteries. The remote for the new Magnum inverter has the following chart in its set up instructions.

As you can see the charging voltages are different depending on the battery type. The AGM batteries even have two different settings depending on their manufacturer. As you can see the Lifeline batteries are absorption and float charged at .3V less than a flooded cell.
Now all of this is optimum charging so that .3V may not make much of a difference but it probably will decrease the performance of the batteries somewhat. Notice also that the charging voltage for the other makes of AGMs is only .1V different than flooded cells.
