CARDINAL SIN
If the advertising department staff DARE turn out a piece of literature that can be compared to the competition's advertising and deemed to be "ME TOO" specifications that fluorescent tie and paisley suited individual is going to find himself unemployed.
Charge acceptability is determined by establishing how many amperes flow through the battery when a constant voltage power supply is applied to the terminals when the battery is at a state of charge that would render maximum sensitivity and acceptance. The constant voltage charge rate is less than the the maximum permitted (do not maintain the battery at absorbsion limit for too long a time with either ceasing all charging or reverting to a float voltage).
14.7 is acceptable. If a group 24 AGM decides to accept 53 amperes at 14.7 volts, so what? Requesting 300 amperes from the same battery involves a lot more wattage. Charge at 14.7 constant voltage until the amperage slumps to "X" factor then terminate the charge or switch it to an appropriate float maintenance protocol.
Avoid "Me Too" at all cost! God help us if we a relegated to to marching to someone else's bugle and drums.
