Mena be sure you get the right one. Randy shows a "showroom model" that is not the same look as the one on boatandrv or the PM website. He must know which one you want and can get one or make one.
I'll be sure to ask for the one with the external voltage adjust and voltage display. I'll be pulling the IOTA and using this as a deck mount. What gauge cables are on yours?

Not sure PM is best as I believe it drops to float as soon as the set point is reached. OK maybe you can then adjust the float up to 14.7 for a few hours but that seems like the wrong way to me.
The adjustable one is not an auto 3/4 stage charger. You have to manually set the voltage for each "stage". That's why I want it. I'm at the point now where I'm just not happy with converters and can't justify inverter/charger units with the programmable time and set points. And I'm tired of waiting a week to charge up my batteries to full (letting the converter float for a week then pump in some volts for finish charge). If I can get all this done during the first day or two after a trip, I'll be happy. Not to mention, I can change the float voltage. That right there is reason enough to get one of these. No more 13.6V float (WAY too high) when it's 110F outside.

0.4c bulk rules them out as a solar battery, and honestly that is where most my recharging comes from. The converter and alternator help, but i don't really drive, or plug in, very much.
It would be good to contact them and verify their minimum charge rates. I'm a little skeptical on that being their true minimum. I would think you'd have a lot of unhappy customers if that was the case. Let know what you find out.
