I can only wish that a charger or perverter, smart, stupid or indifferent had the capability of being dialed-in correctly. Everything I've ever used or tried besides the Trace 2500SB kept shouting at me that I didn't know a damned thing about batteries. Sorta like being told how to vote, or which brand I had to buy.
But then I'm sort of backward anyway. I keep letting the hydrometer fool me it is not actually lying to me and that the batteries are being perfectly charged with the whizzo-o-matic.
Automatic maintenance charging is fine in my book, sort of like letting a 16 year-old drive for awhile. Then after a week or two I have to go back and clean up it's mess. Of course getting ten years out of a set of golf car batteries or 22 years out of set of two volt cells isn't everyone's bag. I can't really claim these numbers. A fellow begged me to sell him the GC's and I did, three years ago. Who knows if they're still alive and kicking. The 2-volters are still going strong so I need to pay more attention to the accuracy of my claims.
But I do realize that I am depriving myself of valuable television time. Shame on me.
