I'm curious about using that 30 amp Megawatt unit with a small generator.
If you turn the Megawatt's output voltage up to, say, 14.4 volts for a fast charge of your RV batteries using a small generator at some particular high altitude and find that the generator starts to bog down ... can't you just turn the Megawatt's output voltage down slightly (thus reducing charging current to the battery slightly) until the generator speeds back up?
The reason I ask is because I'm thinking about getting a 30 amp Megawatt to speed up charging of our new AGM RV batteries using our little Honda EX650 generator. It seems like I should be able to turn the Megawatt's output voltage up to the highest voltage I can (within the batteries' recommended range) - at any given altitude and beginning state-of-charge for the battereis - until the litte genny just begins to sound labored and then leave the voltage set there for awhile until the battery bank ammeter shows a low reading.
