As for how many amps -- I have one battery approx 150aH and two at about 75aH, all AGM. So not more than 40 + 20 + 20, I would think, and usually less (is this right?).
Do these things handle multiple outputs? They seem to have a lot of connection studs. What happens if I connect multiple batteries wanting different amps? I understand they would all get same voltage?
My current charger collection:
- 10 + 10 +10 amp (3 outputs, can put multiple outputs onto one battery if I want) 12v 'smart' charger
- 7amp 24v charger (for topping off)
- old standby transformer 7amp 12v car charger (it works when no one else does).
Looking to add this summer:
- alternator cable
- solar
