Is there something about the declaration that makes it confusing?
Battery charge + positive line into one screw termimal of light. From other screw another wire to clamp for battery positive
But are you saying to try that with the Schumacher or with manual charger? Since the Schumacher is one of those "smart" chargers, there's no telling how it will react when using a light bulb as a current limiter. I just want to go manual with a timer.
