DROKĀ® 600W 12A DC Boost Voltage Converter 12-60V to 12-80V Step-up Power Supply Transformer Module Regulator Controller...
Connect this critter to ANY 12 volt power source that can develop a minimum of TWELVE AMPERES at 6 to 12 volts. This makes for a width swath of power supplies and chargers and converter that will work perfectly.
See the PAIR of blue multi-turn potentiometers set next to each other?
One is to adjust voltage. The other is to limit current.
Back the current pot back down to a safe level. Counterclockwise
Now set the voltage pot to 16.0 and it will stay at 16.0 no matter what
Increase the amperage pot to 5.0 amperes for a single car jar 100 amp 6 cell battery and to 11 amps for a series pair 12 cells of golf car battery.
The connectors will easily accept 16 gauge wire, and if you twist strands and are careful, 14 gauge wire. Observe In and OUTPUT polarity carefully.
I definitely would play a 120 volt fan across the booster at amperages exceeding 10.0
Yes I own one. They are fantastic devices.
If you want to get fancy, purchase an ammeter and a voltmeter and connect it to the device permanently.
The DROK will power 36-volts of 30-50 watt LED's without breathing hard. Coupled to a power supply and a motion detector battery power can light up like a football field for a short time serving as security.
Thanks Mex, looks like a pretty cool device. Just to make sure I understand, I would use this for top charging my battery(s)? The idea being to hit the battery with 16V but at a safe amperage?
Also, if I understand the way this device functions, I could use it to charge one battery from another?
