Chassis Battery Not Charging On Shore Power/Generator

I noticed That my Chassis Batteries only charge when the engine is started/running. I know there is an Isolator I suppose that controls the dual charging function. I have the 2002 Monaco Diplomat 40' ...

It's beats me in this day and age why anyone would want to run long wires from solenoids to dashboard, fool with switches, remember which is what, etc.

Fully automatic battery combiners can stay in the battery area and remember everything, automatically.
