Agree. What I need to see is an official document that says ST tires are built to the same standards as Car/LT tires are.

It is true that all tires sold in the US market have to meet the NHTSA/DOT standards. It is also true that the standards for P/LT tires differ from ST tires. The mere fact that all ST tires are limited to 65mph should be the first indicator.
