Agree. What I need to see is an official document that says ST tires are built to the same standards as Car/LT tires are.

There's no reason to believe there's some kind of International Conspiracy exempting ST tires from those standards.

It is true that all tires sold in the US market have to meet the NHTSA/DOT standards. It is also true that the standards for P/LT tires differ from ST tires. The mere fact that all ST tires are limited to 65mph should be the first indicator.
