First, the TRA standards manual is copyrighted, so it can not be reproduced. It is only available through TRA.
- BUT -
from time to time you will find excerpts - and the load tables published by the tire manufacturers is one of those.
Another one is isolated pages to prove a point. I thought I had the page that included the tables on overinflation, but it seems I didn't do that particular page. I've uploaded this page to Photobucket, as I am having trouble with my website account.
Here it is:
TRA ST Tires
The note of interest is at the bottom of the page.
Oh and for those who worry about exceeding the maximum tire pressure? Look very carefully and you will see it doesn't list a MAXIMUM. It says: Max Load XXXX at YY psi. That is a relationship, not a limitation.
You are doing a disservice to the RV community by providing statements like this. There needs to be better explanation as to just what max air pressures are. People will use your posting as an excuse to put way too much air in their tires and rip along at an unsafe speed. It's just a matter of time until those who use your supposed recommendations suffer more ST tire failures. Only this time the will be running way too fast and the damage will become excessive with a rig that is now very hard to stop.
Do you really want that?
