First, the TRA standards manual is copyrighted, so it can not be reproduced. It is only available through TRA.

from time to time you will find excerpts - and the load tables published by the tire manufacturers is one of those.
Another one is isolated pages to prove a point. I thought I had the page that included the tables on overinflation, but it seems I didn't do that particular page. I've uploaded this page to Photobucket, as I am having trouble with my website account.
Here it is:
TRA ST Tires
The note of interest is at the bottom of the page.
Oh and for those who worry about exceeding the maximum tire pressure? Look very carefully and you will see it doesn't list a MAXIMUM. It says: Max Load XXXX at YY psi. That is a relationship, not a limitation.
Here are a couple of statements that need to be addressed when considering adjusting your trailer's tire pressures beyond the maximum amount shown on the sidewall to gain highway speed.
1. My owner's manual does not address that option for the OE tires which are ST tires. However, it does say not to exceed the recommended tire pressure. It does say this, " Tire manufacturers list the “maximum permissible inflation pressure” on the tire sidewall. This number is the greatest amount of air pressure that should ever be put in the tire under normal driving conditions" - leaving room for speculations.
2. The warranty for my current ST tire brand says to "never over inflate your tire & never exceed the maximum pressure & load molded in the tire sidewall & only inflate tire to maximum pressure when your tires are carrying the maximum load." Of course that's a moot point to some degree as my vehicle manufacturer has recommended using the full sidewall pressure, all the time.
