First: the plan to replace the 12 volt MARINE/deep cycle with a real DEEP CYCLE (note the case on those terms) battery is a good one.
If you must waste your money with AGM instead of Flooded Wet then Lifeline is the way to go.. You can beef up your converter too with Lifeline batteries.
