The problem with flooded batteries on the tongue of TTs, is placement of the inverter which could dictate long wire runs. There is no way factory charge cables will be large enough, so pulling thick cables is likely. Such fun. :)
I run two inverters, one in the TT and the other in the van. I guess I am one of those unfortunate fools that wasted their money on AGMs.
I was able to install an AGM inside the TT in a space under a dinette seat with only 18in of DC cabling to the inverter. The inverter is located along side the power center in the adjacent space.
In my van, I was able to place two AGMs on their side under the third row seat. I have enough power there where I can plug my TT's power cord into the second inverter. These are the two 5yo 135AH AGM telco pulls that powered 800W for 1:15, or 1KWh, and only dropped to 11.99V. Not even close to the 10V LVD of the Magnum 1012 inverter. Maybe I should have shot for 2KWh total draw.
Now compare that to recent posts where users of 440Ah banks of 4 * GCs are in constant worry about Voltage drops.
I want power when I want it.
