BFL, the MW is on the same line as the bed area, only 1 cable, I checked it yesterday. If I forgo using the MW, I'll just tell the wife she can't use it, even if it looks like it's on. The plug is behind the screwed in MW.
Bend, good catch. I've got the controller set to Interstates recommended 15.6v. I really don't want to knock it down a the high setting is the reason I got it. So now I need to check some inverter specs.
That still leaves plugging the MW into a different receptacle or extension cord if you want a project to add to your list.
The solar controller should not just do 15.6v whenever it feels like it. You should be given a chance to disconnect the batteries from the rig so the 15.4v top limit for the fridge is not exceeded plus anything else that might get hurt.
If I have let the solar go over 15v (which it can with temp comp when it is cold out and your setting is 14.8v) the inverter's 15v cut off happens. This is where a switch on your solar is handy. That goes on a wire between the solar panel and the controller NOT on a wire between the controller and battery) Turn off solar and voltage drops right away below 15, then turn on inverter and then turn solar back on (it won't get back over 15 with the inverter running a load)
