Owners NEED to READ all manuals, brochures, pamphlets, information sheets etc that come with a new RV
If none supplied.....google the component or ask here
The LP Detector portion is the section that monitors the battery voltage and alarms on Low Battery.
The detector also has a 'shelf life'===typically 5-7 yrs but can fail sooner.
They are wired DIRECTLY to your RV Battery....as such that are a parasitic draw
Sensor can get 'coated' from dust, animal hair, sprays (expellant) which shortens their life
Expiration date should be on backside of unit
