Coach Battery Cutoff Switches.

I have a 2005 Fleetwood Southwind. I pushed both cutoff switches to the off position for short-term storage but some 12v overhead lights still work. Should that happen?

  • A friend has a 98 Southwind with a PD 9100 converter. It has solar, and it is installed through the 9100's fuse panel where the three set- screw bus for positive wire is at the bottom.

The joke is that with no shore power and batteries disconnected the 12v stuff still works for a while on solar!!! After a while it sort of keeps stuttering on and off. It is really bad for the solar controller to run loads with no battery connected
  • Maybe I misunderstood the replies. Are you saying there is power through the converter when the batteries are disconnected by the switches? Pardon me if I appear dense.
  • I'm not plugged in. Maybe a bad disconnect switch? One is labeled main and the other auxiliary; what is the difference?

completely depends on if your plugged into power, the converter will power 12v loads while disconnecting the battery's, thats the way mine works
