BINGO:B On the NEW Dometic wall LCD tstats, you MUST put the fan in AUTO to keep the roof AC fan blower from running in furnace mode. If you have it on Lo or Hi fan, the Roof AC fan will run in Furnace mode. Doug
PS, THIS is explained in the Dometic tstat instruction manual:)- MrWizardModeratorgo look at the thermostat

sounds like the A/C blower/fan is set to manual ON - CT_WANDERERExplorerSound like you could have a bad relay in your AC system/furnace control.
- GibbysExplorerSo sorry I should have been more clear. I was referring to the furnace and what happens is, when it is plugged in cold air comes from the vents on the ceiling like where the A/C comes out but when is running off the battery the hot air comes out of the vents near the floor properly.
Thanks for any help. - 1. Unless Pilot model water heater
2. Electronic ignition Water heater and any furnace on his model requires 12 volts to operate.
3. WHAT is strange unless he misposted---He states it works ONLY on battery power. NOT when 120 is connected to the RV. That would point to a Converter system like OLD systems that has a relay in the Converter. This relay engaged when 120 power was applied and ran the RV on Converted 12 volt and the battery was out of the system, but being charged. IF he has such a system, that would point to the Charger/converter section bad and that relay has disengaged the battery until he disconnects the 120 source. BUT, he would have no 12 volt systems working including lights.
4. The OP needs to clarify what appliance and make sure he posted the correct info on Shore/APU connection. Doug - bikendanExplorerare you talking about the water heater or the furnace?:h
the furnace works on propane only and doesn't heat electrically.
if it's the water heater, need to know brand and model number.
Suburban WH's have a separate on/off switch, that has to be turned on from outside. - wolfe10ExplorerBoth answers point to the correct first question:
What is house battery voltage:
At rest?
Plugged into shore power (and verify that it IS on-- roof A/C works)?
Unplugged from shore power with generator running? - CT_WANDERERExplorerDoesn't the heater run on 12 volts and propane?
- Jim-LindaExplorer IITransfer switch??
