Cola soda in holding tanks?
I was told to put a couple 2 liter bottles of cola in black tank to clean and freshen it. Anyone done this? Also gray tank. And it's supposed to clean light sensors. Hard on seals?

Folks don't give a second thought to the drain lines in their homes but will OCD on an RV waste 'HOLDING' tank.
Just fill it, dump it when FULL, a little flush then add some water back in so tank stays wet.
Repeat ......
OK you wise guys--Maybe some of you have lost your sense of smell (I have slightly) but opening the toilet trap to clean the gasket (when it won't hold water) I notice the smell. In our houses, you don't have a "holding tank" under the toilet, hence no smell. I've heard the smell can be pretty rank if left untreated other than regular chemicals used. My guess is just flushing the toilet could let some of that rank smell up in the rig.
