Coleman air conditioner switch ?part number

My coleman air conditioner switch for my rv broke, and I need to replace it. So I pulled the switch, and I am having trouble finding the part number. Wondering what the part number is and where I can find the part. There are numbers on the side of the switch, but I'm not certain which number is the part number. Hopefully, you can help.

The numbers read:
271-98-164 MEXICO 94-51
6759-325

  • Normally when I order a switch, I either take it to the parts house, or they can ID the switch by the unit model and serial number.

It sounds like a basic rotary switch - the kind used in portable A/C units. It would have fan hi and low speeds, compressor on and fan only. Yours might have a 'electric heat' position too - if a optional electric heater kit had been installed. Most rooftop A/C do not use the $120 optional heater kit, because they are noisy and expensive!

You should be able to pick one up at your local Johnstone Supply, or try calling around to appliance repair places, and see if they can sell you a switch. Someone who sells used appliances probably can fix your A/C unit too, for a whole lot less money than a RV dealership would typically charge.

It also does not hurt to call the local RV supply store, or even campingworld.com and get a price on the switch, they will need your A/C model and serial numbers.

    Good luck!

    Fred.
