WHere do I find the haot water heater bypass valve. I need to winterize.

You have to access the backside of WH.......
IF you have a bypass it could be just a 1 valve, a 2 valve or 3 valve system
1 valve set up (a 3 way valve on cold inlet with check valve in nipple of hot outlet----change valve position to bypass)
shown in service mode
2 valve set up ( two 3 way valves.....one on cold inlet & one on hot outlet----change both valve positions to bypass)
shown in bypass mode
3 valve set up (valve on each line cold inlet/hot outlet/bypass line---change valve position on all three to bypass)
could be in service or bypass (depends on what is open/closed
There are also 'modified' systems.
This is a 1 valve modified to a 2 valve (check valve in hot out removed---valve installed)
shown in service mode (3 way valve handle parallel with cold inlet line)
