Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you since I'm running the older version Mach 3 with my Yamaha 2400ishc.

however i will look at locked rotor amps of Mach 3. if they are the same as Mach 8 it might give me answer .
Ps. is yours Mach 3 PS(power saver) or original-they are different.

Mach 3 14.4 amps. Mach 3 power saver 10.5 amps Mach 8 12.2 amps.
I guess i need to know if anyone runs Mach 3(or Mach 3 Plus-14.4amps) with honda 2400ishc.
Ps. the price of MACH 8 is about 150.00 dollars more(800.00)
Ps. also did you need to have hard start capacitor installed
