Should have a device to get that 88-108 Start Cap OUT of the circuit once the compressor's spooled up close to operating speed. Coleman offers a Start Relay or a Positive Temperature Coefficient Resistor (PTCR), depending on Model, sometimes offers a choice. Chris Bryant says the Coleman Start Relay works better than a SUPCO SPP6E (for Electronic) start kit (cap + electronics in one housing. And the SPP6E is better than the Coleman Cap + PTCR setup or the SUPCO SPP6 (no "E") that's also Cap + PTCR but all in one housing. Dometic sells a start kit that Chris says is THE best, but I know nothing about it or if it would interface with Coleman.
I'd be interested in the Amps Draw specs for Mach 8 and the ordinary 13500. Could you post the complete Mach 8 model number? I'd love to look at the parts list and see those two motors!
i'm going to start links in steps
linky1
linky2
linky3 parts
has 2 motors listed as id and od. elsewhere it says 2 motors indoor and outdoor. I have not a clue
itappears that the polar cub is actually the Mach 8 9200 btu model
linky4
basedon this it appears the start kit is a ptcr and capacitor
linky 5
this says the starter pack is a hard start kit. this is part number on mach 8 list
