We have a Power Line EMS and it shows "line status" and shows Line #1 and line #2 and the total for both lines in AMPs...........we are not at the same RV park right now, because we had to leave to come get it fixed......but right now where we are it shows line #1 118 volts and 14 AMPs and line #2 is 121volts and 4 AMPS.
The breakers never did trip and we smelled burning wires for sure when they quit working. So the the wire nut connections is certainly possible........which is still odd that 2 would burn up at the same time (2 hours apart)
So if we didn't have good 50 amp service, which I suspect at this particular RV park and we had low voltage, would that burn them up?
Is there such a thing as a inline volt meter to plug into the box and then we plug into that........or how do I check what we have before we plug in? It concerns me that if this had happened when we were gone and the dogs alone in the RV we could have had a problem with them and the heat or even worse a fire........we do use a baby monitor, but if I were out of cell range, we would never know.
