Color LED strip under awning

I have see may posts where people purchased a color led strip & placed it under the awning. I have a 20' awning & it looks like all these color LED strips are 16' Any 20' strips available?

Thanks

  • I hope you look into Dark Sky and use something like this with respect for others around you.

    Thanks!

  • Follow honorable directions and cut to length. No reconnecting necessary. I would opt for waterproof because of corrosion resistance of electrical contacts. I saw a guy in a crowded RV park in Puerto Vallarta. Red/Blue/Green flashing like a store. I could not help resisting asking: "We are having a party later on and this really helps folks to locate us in among all these rigs".
  • Strip I bought from Amazon has both colored and white lights in it, spans the entire roof-line of my 20 ft trailer, well past the awning on either end. I can't find the link to it right now, but there are longer options out there.

If you know how to solder, you can splice multiple strips together.
  • 16.5 feet worked great for us. We just centered the light strip and you don't even notice it. We always got complements on it because we could change the color depending on our mood...

It is not worth the effort to get the extra light strip and try and splice the extra 3.5 feet on.

  • 16 ft is plenty under my awning too . They are very bright when turned all the way up.
  • You can buy them on spools that are 5 meters long and cut to length.

If you want to use a premade one and can only get 16' I doubt having 2' dark on either side will be a big issue.
