I was lucky enough to find the Exact replacement camera/monitor for my coach. The prior owner kept his rear view monitor on all the time. The original camera is B&W I I can adjust the contrast\brightness so it looks like daylight during the night time. If adjusted properly I can even see the TOADS tail lights reflectring off the street. I can see that te brake lights as well as the turn signals are working.

If a B&W is up to specs, the quality of the resolution is far superior to a Color system. Especially in bright sunlight. But you need to see and operate the specific color system you want to upgrade too. Doug
