Compressed air winterization complications

Compressed air is great for blowing out your waterlines, but I discovered this past weekend about taking the aerators out of your faucets to keep them from clogging with hard water minerals. It was something of a forehead-slapper. I couldn't figure out why there no water at the kitchen and bathroom faucets. They were clogged with sediment. I removed the aerators and cleaned them and this fixed the problem. So... when I winterized the trailer yesterday, I not only drained the Water Heater but flushed it as well. Then I blew the water out of the lines to avoid a repeat.

Submitted for the good of the club.

Happy Trails!

Another suspect in some kitchens.. If, like me, you have a pull out faucet head (the faucet head is also the sprayer) there is a check valve where the flexible hose connects to the head (it is inside the head) This too can clog.

I noticed the same thing here.. I don't know if I think the cause has anything to do with using blow-out winterizing or not. Think it is more of something you just need to keep a watch-out for..

My shower head in the big trailer is the first one to stop up on me...

    Thanks for the info ....
