Two campgrounds just south of Lee vining on Lee Vining creek. Turn onto CA 120. The first is the county campground further on is the USFS campground. Elevation 6780. CA 120 is the Tioga Pass hwy. Trips include Bodie ghost town, go to top of Tioga pass turn on side road to Saddlebag Lake. Proceed until you get to sign for parking to Gardiski Lake walk straight up the mountain to lake 11200 ft altitude. County campground more open for solar panel use. USFS campground very shady. Ask where POOL PLANT is and pay short visit. Operating genuine Pelton hydroelectric 20 mw SCE generator. This area has best tasting drinking water I have ever tried. Gas up in Bishop.
