Confusing Electrical Problem with my TRC Surge Guard

From your historical perspective it appears the problem may be in the RV. In addition to the screw type connections on the neutral in the RV you probably have the transfer switch in line where there are more screw connections and a set of relay contacts on the neutral.

You are doing the right thing by calling on some professional help.
